Alpaca History and Spinning Fleece Demonstration
Meet our Maui Alpaca Ohana and learn their history. The preparing, carding, spinning, weaving and finishing process of alpaca is very similar to the process used for wool. Some skeins are natural, while others are dyed. When spun, the alpaca fleece has a unique shine that is prized by knitters.
In this demonstration you will learn how to spin and card the fleece. From fleece to sweater, discover the magic in this process!
